Jennifer Odister, Owner + Stylist
Jennifer has been doing hair for over 25 years + owning a salon has always been a dream of her’s. She considers it one of her greatest blessings to get to share her passion with her clients, who she considers to be part of her family. A die-hard Alabama fan (ROLL TIDE), Jennifer is the one person you’d definitely want on your sports trivia team! When she is not working, you can usually find her poolside or on the pickleball court. Jennifer is happily married + has 2 adult children (Ollie + Maggie) + 3 dogs (Archie, Bunker + Bella).
Marissa Shrum, Stylist
Marissa has been a hairstylist for 17 years and has been at Southside Salon + Spa since the doors opened in 2010. She enjoys cutting + coloring both men + women’s hair + specializes in curly hair. Marissa is married + has two boys + two dogs. When she’s not working, you can find her exercising, cooking, or spending time with her large extended family!
Nikki Davenport, Nail Tech + Permanent Makeup Artist
Nikki has been a nail technician for 23 years. She loves mixing polishes + putting her own creative spin on her designs. What she loves most about her career is the instant gratification + how good people feel about themselves once they’ve had a service from her. Twenty-three years into doing nails + it is still her passion, along with making connections + learning about other people. While doing nails is certainly on the list, her greatest loves are God, her family + helping others. Nikki is married + has 2 children, Nicholas + Harper.
Kaylee Reece, Stylist
Growing up, Kaylee always knew she wanted to do hair and went from Barbies to people before she knew it! She loves a good blonde, but there's no color she’s ever turned away. Her main goal is to make you feel like the best version of yourself, whether that means doing a fun, new color or trying out a different hairstyle- Kaylee’s got your back! When she’s not in the salon, you can bet she’s traveling somewhere (more than likely, to a concert)!
Lindsey Harper, Stylist + Assistant
Lindsey has been a part of the Southside Salon team since 2024, and started out as our Receptionist. She graduated from UTC in Spring of 2025, with a major in Exercise Science but always knew she wanted to do hair. After graduating from UTC, she enrolled in hair school and graduated in May of 2026. When she isn’t working you can find her in a pilates class or playing pickleball!
Archie, Salon Manager
Archie joined the salon team with an extensive background in nap scheduling, treat acquisition, and client relations. With years of experience in supervising humans, he quickly rose to the position of Salon Manager. Archie greets all of our clients with tail wags, supervises snack breaks, and makes sure everyone gets plenty of love while they’re here. You can let him know how good of a job he’s doing by giving him plenty of belly rubs!
